Amish People

The Amish Family enjoys life without the use of automobiles or electricity. From infants to grandparents, the family bond is strong throughout the Amish community.

Making Hay. Three or four cuttings of hay a summer, after being cut and dried are loaded up on a wagon with the hay loader, then taken to the barn where it is unloaded with hay hooks hanging from the roof. Many Amish groups use balers while others still used the hay loaders

Wheat harvest in the Amish country usually starts in early July. Grain is cut and bound in sheaves which are stacked to dry. The Amish are a hardworking people who do not use the modern methods of farming
