Guanwu National Forest Recreation Area

 Guanwu National Forest Recreation Area is located in the neighboring Wufen township in Hsinchu and Taian township in Miaoli. The area is constantly surrounded by fog and clouds due to its altitude (2,000m high above sea level) that attracts throngs of visitors coming here to appreciate the beauty of its mysterious and tranquil atmosphere. Ever since the Giant Formosan Cypress Hiking Trail was re-opened in July 2009, the number of visitors and hikers has also rapidly increased.

In order to allow tourists to have a pleasant trip in Guanwu National Forest Recreation Area and have a better understanding of its ecological environment, there is a visitor centre situated inside the park that appears to look like a boat structure. The visitor centre displays a great collection of introductions of the rare flora and fauna species that are peculiar to the park. Besides that, the on-site staffs or volunteers will also be delighted to help answering visitors’ any questions.

В 2009 году здесь был возобновлён туристический маршрут Giant Formosan Cypress Hiking Trail
Здесь есть также специально построенный туристический центр, напоминающий по форме большой корабль. Здесь туристы могут ближе познакомиться с редкими представителями флоры и фауны, представленными на специальных дисплеях.
